Alhambra - Technology to Enjoy
The award-winning new SEAT Alhambra is an MPV with some truly surprising features. So it's no surprise it was not only named Best MPV by Diesel car, but voted Best MPV in WhatCar? Car of the Year 2011.
Imagine a car with up to 2340 litres of space to take everything with you, optional automatic sliding doors for easier access and a range of sporty engines that make driving more fun than ever before. It's big on fun, and big on safety too. What's more, its seven airbags and other advanced safety features have helped the new Alhambra gain a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.
The SEAT Alhambra is the perfect size for an MPV. Its visibility and nimble handling make it easy to manoeuvre in city traffic, and its increased dimensions deliver an outstanding amount of interior space. There's even plenty of room for adults to sit comfortably in the third row, while large sliding doors (with optional electric operation) make getting in and out easy.
Thanks to its dynamic handling, powerful engines ranging from 140 to 170PS and the latest hi-tech equipment, every mile driven in the Alhambra is a joy.
The new Alhambra clearly conveys its dynamic character through its design. The broad, taut proportions, clear lines, and the distinctive wheel arches give it a powerful presence and a level of sporting appeal that is unmatched in the MPV sector.
With its arrow-shaped bonnet, hallmark grille and highly distinctive front skirt continuing the Arrow Design, the new Alhambra clearly displays its SEAT DNA. The sleek side profile shows great technical precision, with optional sliding rear doors; while a muscular spoiler, low-reaching rear hatch, and expansive light clusters dominate the rear.
The range of innovative technologies offered on the new SEAT Alhambra is simply astounding. Like the TSI and TDI engines, the optional DSG dual-clutch transmission delivers the perfect combination of sporty energy, comfort, and efficiency. The optional bi-xenon headlamps with adaptive front-lighting system (AFS) follow the direction of the steering, while high beam assistance senses oncoming vehicles and automatically adjusts the light accordingly. Both improve visibility of the road ahead, making your journey easier and safer.
The optional panoramic sliding roof has an opening 300 percent larger than conventional sunroofs, while the three-zone, Climatronic feature ensures optimum temperature in all seating areas. Optional electric motors simplify the operation of the sliding doors and rear hatch.
We have replaced the traditional hand brake system with an Electric Hand Brake button to optimise space, while the DSG with Paddle feature option offers drivers the choice to drive the car manually, using paddles attached to the steering wheel, or in automatic.
